I was always happy with them never had a bit of trouble. Then I went to them to see if they could take them off to have a full down console repaired for me. They quoted me a price, but then called me and said it wasn’t as involved as they thought it would be and actually reduced the price by a third. That is one honest business! I was driving to Wichita for an appointment when I heard a scratching noise in the back of my 2017 4Runner. After searching further, I realized there was a mouse (or something else) in the headliner. My niece contacted the shop and explained the situation and they told me to bring it in right away. They were able to remove the headliner and remove a large mouse nest with babies in it and another older nest without any damage to the vehicle. They examined the vehicle and learned that the mouse had chewed through the cabin filter to gain access into the vehicle. #farmlife. Luckily there was no wire damage. The experience was UNIQUE for all of us and we all got a good laugh. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the professionalism of this team. The price couldn’t be beat. I will definitely return if I need future work but hopefully next time has nothing to do with mice. Great experience. Great team. Having been pleased with my first experience at Unique Upholstery when they did a good job installing Katzkin leather seats in my Jeep I decided I'd pay them another visit. I needed a repair for the driver’s seat in my old Dodge Ram (the foam was shot and the fabric was ripped), I thought I’d give them another shot. A few years ago, I had received a quote for this exact repair at $150, which I passed on at the time since it was more than I wanted to spend. When I went back to them, the price had jumped to $325. While I understand prices go up over time, this felt like quite a steep increase especially when they are using take off fabric that essentially cost them nothing for my repairs. I was told it would match my interior since the original fabric is no longer available. The biggest issue came when I went to pay. They didn’t tell me about their "convenience fees" for using a credit card. There was no mention of this either verbally or in a written quote. Had I known, I probably would’ve looked for other options. They only brought it up after I had already agreed to the repair, which left me feeling like I was being blindsided. The work itself was fine—I'll give them that. The seat looks good. Great upholstery work. Unfortunately the car was returned to me dirtier than when I dropped it off. The interior was covered in oil and residue (fingerprints all over windows, all over the gear shifter, on the seat, etc.) The floor mats also had trash and dirt.
